Following today's decision by Ecuador to grant asylum to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who is currently in hiding at Ecuador's London embassy, the Foreign Secretary, William Hague said Britain would not allow Mr Assange safe passage out of the country. Britain has a legal obligation to extradite Assange to Sweden, where he faces rape charges, Mr Hague said.
