Once asked about Quentin Davies' criticisms of the Tory leadership George Osborne hit back by saying the MP (who shortly afterwards defected to Labour) had constantly disagreed with him. He was in similarly robust mood this morning when asked about Nadine Dorries' latest attack on David Cameron:
Nadine Dorries has responded to the Chancellor on Twitter: "Wrong for GO to say I oppose Tory modernisation. Party needed to become more socially just, but not more liberal".
I can't help but think that she'll follow Quentin Davies out of the Conservative Party before too long… although her new home will be UKIP.
