There is little backbench opposition to his plan to lend £10 billion more to the IMF;
Although his Budget created negative headlines he insists that the impression across the world is that Britain is cutting business taxes and is getting on top of its borrowing challenges;
He says that the argument for austerity is now largely won and those arguing against cuts are "on the margins" of debate.
