Picture 21 Founded in 1951, the Bow Group styles itself as "the oldest centre-right Think-Tank in Britain" and numerous senior ministers over the decades have been involved in its activities. Its stated aim is "to develop policy, publish research and stimulate debate within the Conservative Party" and it is currently seeking to expand its research team.

It has issued the following call:

"The Bow Group is seeking to expand its current pool of research contributors. The Group invites both members and non-members to submit two-page outlines of potential research papers to the Research Secretary, Mark Nicholson, by September 17th. Submissions across all policy fields are welcomed, although especially in the fields of Public Sector Efficiencies, the Economy, the Home Office, Culture, Media & Sport and the Constitution.

"The authors of the most promising submissions will be invited to present their thoughts in more depth to a committee of the Bow Group council later in September. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop and publish their paper through the Bow Group and also to join the relevant Bow Group policy committee."

Anyone wanting to respond should email Mark Nicholson.
