Almost half of Party members believe that human activity is driving global warming. And even more think that the Government is right to set the 2050 net zero carbon emissions target.
Note, though, that two in five say that it is wrong to set that target into law. And that a third are opposed to it altogether – presumably much the same people who hold that human activity is not driving global warming.
Taken together, these results are moderately encouraging for Boris Johnson and his team as they head towards this autumn’s COP26 summit in Glasgow.
