Is this the moment when the Commons set out on a journey to a Softer Brexit? Customs Union membership? Single Market membership?  Norway Plus?

Or a second referendum – even revocation?

We don’t know – but what is clear is that, as this site has long predicted, the Letwin-and-friends amendment has finally made it over the line.  First time round, it fell by 23 votes. Last time, by only two.  Now, it is over the line.

Oliver Letwin, Yvette Cooper et al have seized control of parts of Commons and Brexit business, and we wait to see what happened next.
