Those thinking ahead will note that, in an earlier finding, Michael Gove took 56 per cent of the vote against Boris Johnson’s 25 per cent, and that here the corresponding finding is 59 per cent for Javid and 28 per cent for Johnson.

Most of our readers will by now have worked out what we are saving up for our grand finale later.

For whatever reason, that ten per cent of respondents who opted for “neither” is the lowest abstention rate, so to speak, of any finding to date.
