The totals for last month’s answer to the same question were:

Yes, now: 9 per cent.

Yes, before the next election is due in 2022: 52 per cent.

No: 36 per cent.

This month, they are:

Yes, now: 15 per cent.

Yes, before the next election is due in 2022: 51 per cent.

No: 30 per cent.

That’s a slight movement against the Prime Minister staying on as Party leader (and in office), but the most significant aspect of the result is its tribute to the consistency of our survey, at least on this question.

This is not at all the result she or her team will have wanted as the Conservative conference.  For the moment at least, Party members seem to have made up their mind: well over half of them do not believe she can lead the Party into the next general election.
