Pollsters_4

We’ve asked three of Britain’s leading opinion pollsters, Stephan Shakespeare of YouGov, Andrew Hawkins of CommunicateResearch and Ben Page of Ipsos Mori, five questions on polling. So far they have answered three of them and you can see their answers here, here and here.

The fourth question was Do you think that public opinion moves more quickly or more slowly than in the past?

You can watch their answers below but in summary: Stephan Shakespeare says we can be less sure of public opinion than in the past, Ben Page says they have always moved quickly but there is more volatility today and Andrew Hawkins says speed is not the issue but the promiscuity of voters is.
