Interviewed on Sunday AM, UKIP leader Nigel Farage MEP thinks that British Airways appears ashamed of Britain. First they dumped the Union Flag for those tailfins that Mrs Thatcher famously covered with her handkerchief. They then led calls for early British membership of the euro. Now they have suspended an employee who wears a small, silver cross. I wonder if they’ll ban David ‘Crusader’ Beckham for travelling with them in future?
Ann Widdecombe is furious and told this morning’s BBC1 Heaven & Earth show that if BA is ashamed of Christians then Christians should be ashamed of BA and boycott the airline.
Archbishop Cranmer lists the religious symbols and clothing that BA does permit. Double-standards? Undoubtedly, yes.
