Populus_4Populus – for The Times – gives the Conservatives a narrow 2% lead this morning.

All of the main pollsters have reported in the last two weeks.  Three are giving the Tories a narrow lead: ICM 1%, Populus 2% and MORI 3%.  Two are giving the Conservatives a healthier lead: YouGov 6% and BPIX 10%.  The overall Tory lead in ConservativeHome’s poll of polls is 4.4%.

The headline finding from Populus concerns John Prescott.  70% of voters (including 59% of Labour voters) want the Deputy Prime Minister to go now.  The poll also finds that 62% of voters want Tony Blair to go over the next 18 months.
