William Hague was by far the most popular member of David Cameron’s shadow cabinet for the first few months of the ConservativeHome survey. The February survey found just 4% of members dissastisfied with his performance. That number has increased to 13% this month and the number very satisfied with his performance has dropped from 51% (last month) to 42%. This almost certainly reflects concern at his role in delivering David Cameron’s EPP pledge. With a net satisfaction rating of +70% he remains very popular overall, however.
Also down very slightly is David Davis but for the third month in a row he is the most popular member of David Cameron’s top team.
This month’s survey contains better news for Party Chairman Francis Maude. His rating went into negative territory in May but in the last month he has pulled back into positive territory with a net satisfaction rating of +2.
