The same big health warnings that I attached to David Cameron’s April dip in satisfaction need to be attached to the data for the top ten members of the shadow cabinet – published on the right (click on image to enlarge). The numbers for the ratings were collected before May 4th’s encouraging local election results.
All members of the shadow cabinet saw their net satisfaction ratings drop in April except for David Davis. David Davis now tops William Hague. 91% of 1,503 Tory members are satisfied with David Davis’ performance and only 7% dissatisfied (producing the 84% net satisfaction rating). Francis Maude’s net rating has sunk to just 6% this month. 11% are very satisfied with the Party Chairman and 36% are fairly satisfied. This 47% satisfied slightly outnumber the 19% fairly dissatisfied and 22% very dissatisfied.
Last month’s data can be read here.
