TruebluecdalbumToday’s Times notes that Shireen Ritchie is to replace Simon Mort as Chairman of the Candidates’ Committee.  The Times suggests that she will "set up" what will be called the Priority List but she’ll undoubtedly be doing so in conjunction with Bernard Jenkin, Theresa May and others.

Famous for being Madonna’s mother-in-law Mrs Ritchie will help to draw up a list of 200 candidates (much more than originally expected).  Half will be men and half women.  The aim – also different and more modest than first suggested – is to put at least 40 women in the 140 target seats which David Cameron must win to get into Number Ten.

This site’s GoldList has not got off the ground this year but will be firing into action from Monday…
