The General Election was a shock. We are up for a marathon effort for the Council elections next year.
It is not enough to state what you oppose from the ruling Labour Group. You have to have a policy platform to offer to residents as an alternative to actively vote for.
It wasn’t just about antisemitism. The Conservatives pledged to maintain weekly bin collections. Labour did not.
Some local campaigns printed off full duplicates of their canvassing data, in case CCHQ repeated last year’s trick of selectively turning off VoteSource.
As Leader of the Conservative Party, I want to thank each and every one of you for all your hard work during the local elections.
All teenagers should be taught at school about the structure of the British constitution – this would help improve the engagement and basis of knowledge for local government elections.
I want to commend every single one of you that stood for council or campaigned in any way in this poll.
Understanding what makes these voters tick could be key to the outcome of the next election. No party can afford to ignore them.

Labour councillors see their chance to extinguish the only opposition voices left in the Council chamber, so they can continue their waste of taxpayers money, blame-shifting and failure to listen to residents unchecked.
Wishful thinking is a risky thing to indulge – it can lead people not to ask sufficiently tough questions to test the things that they are told.
