Yesterday afternoon Tim reflected on Conservative politicians' looks.
Today I highlight their sartorial choices.
GQ magazine has just issued its annual list of the 50 Best Dressed men in Britain and there is only one politician who makes the cut – David Cameron himself.
Glamour editor Jo Elvin says of the Prime Minister that he is "neither too tailored nor too casual, his look never distracts from his role as a statesman – I think Samantha has a hand in this."
The magazine also lists the ten worst dressed men in the world, a list which features two names from the world of politics.
Andy Burnham comes in at number four, with the magazine concluding that he "looks like a member of International Rescue – Lady Penelope's Parker, to be exact"
But eighth on the list is Steve Hilton, for whom every day is a dress down day: "David Cameron's director of strategy got his man in Number Ten, but his wardrobe wouldn't get through the door unless he was a courier," GQ concludes.
