It seems that I tend to have more faith in the British public than Baroness Warsi. I think that we're a cleverer country than she suggests, and that all-but a tiny handful of people are able to distinguish between most people who hold to the Islamic faith, and Islamist extremists.

Even if she is right about the issue, and it is helpful for her to speak about Britain like this, I disagree with her suggestion that this is the last acceptable widespread prejudice in this country. Indeed, I regard the habitual and apparently entirely acceptable sneering at the white working class as more serious.
