Congratulations to Felicity Buchan, the newest Conservative Parliamentary candidate, following her selection as candidate for Kensington.
After growing up in Aberdeenshire, and studying law at Oxford, Buchan spent much of her career thus far in financial services. She has lived in the Kensington area for the last 25 years, and prior to her selection was the treasurer of the local Conservative Association.
She contested South Down in the 2015 General Election, and South Shields in 2017.
Kensington is a hyper-marginal constituency, having been gained by Labour in 2017 with only a 20-vote majority. Emma Dent-Coad, the incumbent, has stumbled into a series of controversies during her two years as MP, from attacking Prince Harry’s military record to using the term ‘token ghetto boy’ to describe Shaun Bailey.
