Voting with an amendment tabled by Chris Leslie (Labour):

  • Heidi Allen
  • Ken Clarke
  • Bob Neill
  • Claire Perry
  • Antoinette Sandbach
  • Anna Soubry
  • Andrew Tyrie

Voting with the Government:

  • Ronnie Campbell
  • Frank Field
  • Kate Hoey
  • Kelvin Hopkins
  • Graham Stringer
  • Gisela Stuart.

Government majority: 33.

George Osborne and Nicky Morgan abstained, as did Ben Howlett, Helen Grant and Nick Herbert. Dudley South’s Mike Wood, a Brexit supporter, was unable to vote as he has been ill since last week (genuinely, not in the Diane Abbott sense).

***Correction***

We have since been informed that Helen Grant did not vote because she was on authorised leave of absence due to her husband undergoing major surgery on the day of the vote. She has since returned and has supported the Government on other Brexit votes.
