- …Plus Lord Strathclyde.
17.00: Also Andrew Percy, according to “Peter Mannion ‘MP’ “.
Three quick points. Among those present are –
- The senior Right – Lilley, Redwood, Jenkin.
- A spread of MPs from the Midlands and North, including both Jones’s, Stevenson and Wheeler. Hoban sits for a southern seat, but is a child of County Durham.
- ConservativeHome authors: Wharton and Bebb have both written on this site within the last week about their concerns over the Scottish “vow”, and both are on the invite list.
9.30pm UPDATE I’m now told that also present were:
Sir Paul Beresford, Graham Brady, Bill Cash, Ken Clarke, Michael Gove, John Glen, Simon Hart, Margot James, Mary Macleod, Chriistopher Pincher, Dominic Raab, Iain Stewart, Gavin Williamson….
…and there will doubtless be more as names dribble in.
I’m told that the consensus view favoured English votes for English laws, but didn’t stretch to support for an English Parliament – though there was some support for that option.
