Congratulations to Councillor Fran Whymark, who took a seat off the Lib Dems by 14 votes in yesterday’s only council by-election.

He narrowly missed out in the ward’s previous by-election in March, so her perseverance has paid off.

Here is the full result:

Broadland District – Wroxham:

C 400, Lib Dem 386, Lab 103. (May 2011 – Two seats Lib Dem 985, 829, C 741, 537, Lab 227, Green 197. March 20 2014 by-election – Lib Dem 482, C 341, Ukip 112, Lab 63).

C gain from Lib Dem. Swing 7.6% Lib Dem to C.
