A new YouGov poll for the Evening Standard shows that Boris Johnson has a lead over Ken Livingstone of 2% in the race for Mayor of London. With second preferences allocated Boris is ahead by 51% to 49%. The previous lead had been 6%.
The paper suggests, I think reasonably, that the drop in support for Boris reflects increased unpopularity with the Government. The Conservatives are 19% behind Labour in London.
On the London Assembly the Green Party are now on 6% which would suggest they would retain a seat.
