Below are the results of yesterday's council by-elections.

The Solihull contest is the one in which the Lib Dems were accused of dirty tricks, as Tim wrote this morning.

The Conwy contest was definitely caused by the resignation of a Conservative councillor, so am unsure as to how the change in voteshare figures I have been given stack up…
