The extremist credentials of Len McCluskey, the new leader of the Unite trade union have already been well documented on this site (although not on the BBC.)
Yet the Government is continuing to hand over our money to Unite. It is true that they have scrapped the Union Modernisation Fund but as the Taxpayers Alliance have pointed out they are still handing over nearly £14 million into union coffers via the Union Learning Fund. This offers "training" – in reality the training seems to be on subjects like diversity awareness, how to recruit more trade union members, etc.
Before the election there was a report showing the complete lack of professional rigour in evaluating the benefit of these training programmes to the economy. Why is the Government still bank rolling them?
Futhermore why are local councils, many Conservative, paying the wages of hundreds of staff for Red Len's Barmy Army?
