Earlier this month Labour gained control of Camden Council. However in one ward, Haverstock, the elections were postponed because of the death during the campaign of one of he sitting councillors.
Yesterday the election was held and saw the Lib Dems win all three seats. In 2006 it was a split ward with Labour winning two and the Lib Dems one – although the Lib Dems ended up with all three seat due to a defection and a byelection gain.
Anyway, Labour still have an overall majority. But I think the result adds credence to the view that Labour's council election results were helped by the extra turnout of the General Election on the same day.
