Harlow Council is under Conservative control and a third of the seats are up for election on May 6. This year the Council achieved a Council Tax freeze..
In terms of the General Election the Labour-held Harlow constituency has 15 wards (some from Epping Forest District Council.) Of those wards 15 when last contested 12 were won by Conservatives, two by Lib Dems and one by an Independent. This was the last constituency to declare at the 2005 General Election as exhausted staff were too tired to continue the second recount. Good luck to our candidate Robert Halfon. He should be able to secure victory without exhausting the ballot counters.
