The campaign to elect the Conservative candidate as the Parvez Akhtar as the next Mayor of Bedford Borough is going well and polling day is on Thursday. The issues we're campaigning on – council tax, crime, education, the much-needed bypass, and a fair deal for the rural villages – are resonating with
local residents. We've forced the Liberal Democrats onto the defensive on council tax when they wanted to talk about other issues.
Parvez has recorded a 90 second piece to camera on why he wants to be mayor and his priorities, which can be found here. "I promise I will reduce waste cut costs and deliver a lower Council Tax by doing more with less," he says.
The three associations here are working very hard but have lots of leaflets to deliver and doors to knock on, so would welcome any support – especially this weekend, 10th and 11th October, so please get in touch with the team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phoning 07858 642346.
