Conservative controlled Dorset County Council has borrowed a machine from Cornwall County Council which recycles and relays asphalt on the roads and being mixed up and reheated.

The machine can produce 10 tons of the stuff per hour. The initiative is intended both to save money and to help the environment. The Council also has new approach to filling pot holes known as "velocity patching."
