Special congratulations to Cllr Andrea Jenkyns on her victory in Boston North West. She was forced to reason because she was a part time music teacher – despite having been advised by the Council that this was allowed. She wrote about the saga here. Also to my friend Cllr Oliver Craig newly elected with a huge majority to join me on Hammersmith and Fulham. He will be a hard working, capable and cheerful addition to our team. It was already a safe Conservative ward but it includes some small Council estates and Labour ran the usual scare campaign which failed spectacularly with their candidate falling into third place. By the way when I was knocking up for Ollie yesterday various people said they had voted by post – I wonder how many of the ballot papers are still sitting in the Royal Mail Sorting Office.
