Even before next week's election Labour have already lost one of their 19 seats on Lincolnshire County Council. Cllr Phil Dilks failed to get his nomination paper in on time so Deeping St James will be contested by the Conservatives, Lib Dems and Greens. Cllr Dilks is "holding his hands up" for the mistake rather than blaming officers. Good for him.
Does anyone know of other wards being left uncontested by a main party in the elections?
