Back in February, there was a council by-election in Epsom and Ewell. The Labour Party’s chosen candidate was Themba Msika, a mental health nurse in the NHS:

He was defeated, but Epsom and Ewell Labour Party were apparently very pleased with Msika, hailing him as a “brilliant candidate”:

A few weeks later, however, Msika took to Twitter, apparently incensed by the “Enough is Enough” protest, organised by Jewish community groups against anti-semitism in the Labour Party.

His response included criticising the protest as “Tories after jewish money” and declaring that “Real Jews don’t buy it”, illustrated by pictures of pro-Corbyn counter-protesters:

He also suggested that any Jewish people supporting the Conservatives were not “real Jews”:

And he dismissed concerns about anti-semitism in the Labour Party as “smears” intended to influence the local elections:
