
Industrial strategy obviously takes a central spot in the Labour Party’s agenda – not least as a major plank of Corbynism is the nationalisation of large swathes of industry.
So Shadow Minister for Industrial Strategy is a pretty key job in the Opposition.
It’s interesting to note, then, what the incumbent Shadow Minister, Chi Onwurah, has to say about her leader:
“There is nothing socialist about incompetence, I said in explaining my decision to vote no-confidence in Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership. But since then, it has been made clear to me that many prefer incompetent out-of-power socialism to what they perceive to be the alternative.”
