It’s notable that the few mentions it did get were mostly for the fact that the Opposition leader somehow forgot to mention the deficit – even The Guardian and The Independent give front page space to the “blunders”. By my count, The Mirror is the only paper to give a front page, entirely positive, plug for the Labour leader. The meagre fruits, you might say, of a core vote strategy.
