Labour will not be holding the beauty contest that is the Shadow Cabinet elections until the autumn when a new leader is in place.

So, for the time being, the former Cabinet goes into shadow form, with Labour's deputy leader, Harriet Harman, at the helm as acting leader.

However, despite no Cabinet minister losing their seat at the general election, not quite all of the former Cabinet have opted to remain in their posts on the Opposition front bench. Notable in their absence from this list of the Shadow Cabinet on Labour's website are Lords Mandelson and Adonis, who both appear to have opted for a quiet life away from the political frontline starting now.

The only other obvious change is that Rosie Winterton takes on the shadow leader of the Commons role which would otherwise have been carried out by Harriet Harman.
