There is speculation that Labour leadership contenders may begin to announce their intentions today.
Harriet Harman is now acting Labour leader – although she has reportedly ruled herself out of running for the leadership, apparently preferring to stay as the second-in-command.

David Miliband has announced he is a candidate for the Labour leadership. He says he will formally launch his campaign in his South Shields constituency next week, but starting tomorrow is going on a national tour of constituencies to seek to understand why Labour lost and the hope and fears of the British people.
