It would be the easiest, least disruptive, and most productive way for this country to genuinely leave the EU until we have a bespoke UK-EU deal.
This proposal already has considerable support from institutions, including the Yorkshire Building Society, who have published research into the benefits this change would bring.
We failed to campaign properly on the economy, and on schools & hospitals. More money must be found for the latter without tax or borrowing rises.
We won without yet breaking through in the North, urban Britain, or Scotland – but we’re now in a position to make real headway in all three.
