Brandon Lewis: As we meet for our Spring Forum, far-left intimidation is on the rise. But we will not be silenced.
Free speech is fundamental to a free country. So we must all make sure that Conservative voices are heard – even where they may not always be welcome.
Our record so far is a strong one: since 2010 we have successfully returned over 41,000 foreign national offenders, with a record high number achieved this year.
Our proposals on how to do so will be brought forward next year. In so doing, we will drive our commitment to get net migration down to sustainable levels.
We have denied entry to over 120,000 people since 2010, including nearly 11,000 EU nationals. And we have removed over 37,000 foreign national offenders.
The post-war New Towns are a great inspiration and demonstration of what can be achieved with determination.
The Housing Bill will enable all social tenants to benefit from the Right to Buy, rather than have ownership dictated by whoever happens to manage their property.
We’ve made progress, but we must go further – hubris doesn’t build homes.
The Starter Homes programme will build up to 100,000 low-cost, high-quality homes over the next five years – all on brownfield sites.
