Screen Shot 2016-04-03 at 07.30.31Last month, the figures from Party member respondents to our now regular monthly survey question was:

  • Definitely for Remain: 17 per cent ( + 1 per cent from the previous month).
  • Definitely for Leave: 58 per cent ( – 2 per cent from the previous month).
  • Leaning to Remain: 9 per cent ( + 1 per cent from the previous month).
  • Leaning to Leave: 13 per cent. ( – 3 per cent from the previous month).

This month, the figures are:

  • Definitely for Remain: 17 per cent (Same as last month).
  • Definitely for Leave: 60 per cent ( + 2 per cent from last month).
  • Leaning to Remain: 8 per cent ( – 1 per cent from the previous month).
  • Leaning to Leave: 13 per cent. (Same as last month).

The response rate for this month’s survey is down – we had 1503 responses overall, compared to 2436 the previous month – but that’s the Easter break for you.  The same question last month got 999 party member replies compared to 758 this month.

So please note, despite a fall in these party member responses by over 100, the sheer consistency of the survey replies on this question.  This indicates once again the stable nature of the party member and other readers who reply to the survey overall each month.

The point is important because we have one perhaps surprising response to another question which we will be releasing later in the week.
