I gather that Dr Spencer Pitfield recently stood down as National Director of the Conservative Policy Forum, the body intended to encourage policy generation from the grassroots of the Conservative Party. We wish him well – he has certainly developed and extended the work of the CPF a great deal (as recounted here) since its relaunch, and it has influenced a variety of policies as a result. On a personal level, Spencer has often contributed to ConservativeHome (and I’m sure he will again).
Should any readers be interested in applying to be considered for the National Director role themselves, CVs should be submitted to Tiz Baskerville, the Vice Chairman (Voluntary) of the CPF at cpf@conservatives.com. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 1st September.
