As Adam Afriyie writes over on our Comment blog, his amendment seeking a 2014 EU referendum was defeated today.

It did receive 14 votes from Conservative MPs, though.

Here they are:

Adam Afriyie
Andrew Bridgen
Douglas Carswell
Philip Davies
Nadine Dorries
Adam Holloway
Stewart Jackson
Chris Kelly
Julian Lewis
Stephen McPartland
Mark Reckless
Laurence Robertson
Andrew Rosindell
Martin Vickers

Tellers: Peter Bone and Philip Hollobone

It also got the support of Labour’s Mike Gapes, who has been prominent in the Opposition’s attempts to prevent the EU Referendum Bill from passing by delaying it at every step. Happily, James Wharton managed to keep his Bill on track.
