Account Manager – Public Affairs

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our award-winning public affairs team. The role will work across a range of accounts and will suit someone who enjoys working in a forward thinking, fast paced environment.

What are the main responsibilities

  • Advising clients on their UK government relations programmes
  • Delivering agreed client programmes / actions with responsibility for providing timely and clear reporting on progress
  • A good understanding of clients’ business objectives and issues in their wider industry sector and managing of programmes to enable them to meet those objectives
  • Managing a junior team and mentoring team members
  • Participation in new business activities

The successful Account Manager will:

  • Have frontline experience of working for a think tank, minister, senior MP, political party or in the civil service.
  • Experience in any of the following areas would be a bonus: financial services, energy or transport
  • Have a broad, diverse political network
  • Excellent knowledge of UK parliament, politics and policy
  • Be a skilled writer and have excellent analytical abilities
  • Be organised and confident handling and delivering client programmes / actions
  • Have an understanding of budget management and an eye for growing our business
  • Have experience of forming strong client relationships built on trust and respect
  • Have experience of managing and delivering campaigns for clients
  • Have experience of managing a junior team (consultant (AE) level)

Account Director – Public Affairs

The successful Account Director will:

  • Have agency experience, managing blue chip clients, or in-house experience in a mid-level public affairs position.

  • Experience in any of the following areas would be a bonus: financial services, energy or transport
